Physical education department came into existence in the year 2007 with the joining of physical education teacher on newly created post. Physical education was introduced as an optional subject in B.Sc./B.A. by the university in the year 2011 and since then students are opting physical education as one subject in B.Sc. Along with theoretical knowledge, students are trained in indoor and outdoor activities. Multipurpose hall is used for indoor activities like chess, badminton, table-tennis, yoga where as outdoor activities are conducted on ground. As physical education is at graduation level, no research activities is conducted but students are assigned project work in which they prepare models, charts etc. related to physical education and sports. Classroom as well as ground is used for teaching and learning where active participation of students can be seen. Students of physical education also participate in inter-collegiate sports tournaments conducted by CSJM University Kanpur. Our students excel in Chess, Table-Tennis, Basketball, Taikandeo etc.
